Jennie T. Bunosso, age 94, of Shelton, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday June 15, 2013 in the Griffin Hospital Derby.
She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Bunosso.
Mrs. Bunosso was born in Derby on Nov. 29, 1918, daughter of the late Anthony and Ursula (Ortale) Mastrianni and has been a lifelong Shelton resident.
She was a salesperson and buyer for over 30 years at the former Fair Shop in Derby, until her retirement. Jennie was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton, a former member of the Shelton and Orange Senior Citizen Center’s, and a former officer of the Ladie’s Guild at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
She is the beloved mother of Julius Bunosso and his wife Jeanne, and Mary Jo Kelley and her husband Bob, and loving sister of Florence Mastrianni. She also leaves seven cherished grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Silvio, and Anthony “Stork” Mastrianni and three sisters, Rose Marmora, Antoinette Passander, and Mary Pagliaro.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave. Shelton. Her burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
