Jerry Alan Monopoli, a 55 year old former CT resident of Shelton and Waterbury passed away in Florida on Sept. 3.
He was born in Derby on Sept. 1, 1963. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Dorothy Wiltshire Monopoli.
He worked for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford as well as in Florida.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring brother, for his love of music, and for his avid pursuit of table tennis and motor cross, both of which he pursued in competitive leagues.
He leaves to cherish his memory his lifelong girlfriend Karen Pogozelski of Waterbury, his brother Donald Monopoli of Melbourne, FL., his three sisters Donna Schuld of Waterbury, Denise Kiley of Ansonia, and Sandra Schuchmann of Oxford, several nieces & nephews, and devoted friends Ronnie Dean & Veronica Chirinos.
A memorial service and celebration of the life of Jerry will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Naugatuck.
Friends and family will call on Saturday at church from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Committal services will be private.
