Jessica Luskay

Jessica Luskay, age 39, of Oxford, entered into rest peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Lupus. 

She was born in Derby on July 23, 1978, beloved daughter of Louis A. Luskay, Jr. (Andy) and the late Lenore M. Luskay. 

Jessica was a lifelong resident of Oxford and a 1996 graduate of Seymour High School. She loved to paint and go camping with her friends. Jessica was a member of the David S. Miles American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of Oxford Ambulance. She loved to spend time with her family and many friends and will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. 

Jessica’s loving family, in addition to her father Andy, includes her brother Louis Luskay III and his wife Annmarie of Oxford, her aunt Carolyn Novach of Washington, her cousins Mark Nowakowski, Conrad Nowakowski, Brad Borland and Ashley Rowe, her best friend Jen Potucek, her dog Chewbacca and a niece and nephew. Jessica was predeceased by her grandparents Lillian and Conrad Nowakowski and Louis and Grace Luskay, Sr. 

A Funeral Service in Celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with the Rev Ellen Donnelly, Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Oxford, officiating. Interment in the family plot at Southford Cemetery, Oxford will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory Jessica may be made to the family to assist with funeral expense through the funeral home.
