Jim C. Hanley, Sr. was born April 28, 1947, in Derby, Connecticut and later moved to Spokane in 1972. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Bonnie Hanley and twin sons, Jim C. Jr (Connie) and Joe T. Hanley (Deanna) and four grandchildren, who were the love of his life: Finnegan, Sheamus, Liam and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thomas J. and Marion F. Hanley and brother Thomas. Jim was best known for working at National Furniture where he was Vice President and Sales Manager for 37 years, traveling all over the country as a buyer and doing the TV commercials which were “No Baloney”. Jim was also a former Trustee with the Eagles being a member for over 48 years.
Jim was an avid sports fan playing many sports growing up – football, basketball, softball and baseball both in Connecticut and Spokane, winning many championships with the teams he played on. Jim was also involved with minor league baseball as President of the Indians Baseball Booster Club for 16 years, where he met many players and coaches who made it to the big leagues. Traveling to Arizona for Spring Training was his yearly highlight.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Manor Care in Spokane, especially Chris, LaTasha and David. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
