Joan Beavers, an 87 year old resident of Shelton and widow of the late Earl Beavers, passed away March 15. She was born Nov. 6, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., daughter of the late Harold Miller and Dorothy Warren Miller.
Joan worked in the Shelton Town Clerks Office as assistant city clerk until retirement.
Joan was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star in Shelton, and was active in the Fl. chapter of ‘The Red Hats’ as well as a member of The Bunko Club. She leaves two sons Brian Beavers of Derby & Darrell Beavers (Karen) of Monroe, daughters Lauren Beavers McClain (Tim) of Chiefland, Fl. & Melanie Beavers Anderson (Burt) of Shelton, sister Marcia Lichti of Shelton, grandchildren Conor, Keith & Alec Beavers,
Brittany Anderson Girard and Jake Anderson as well as three great grandchildren Kelly, Hunter & Rhyleigh.
