Joanna Romano, age 57, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Joanna was born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1965, daughter of the late Joseph and Adelina Romano and was a longtime Shelton resident. She was a longtime employee at Pitney Bowes before working in the billing department at Inline Plastics. She was a true animal lover and activist and especially loved her kitty fur babies Peeka and Meeka and all the other cats she cared for over the years. Most of all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends. She was the cherished wife of Kevin Lesko. She was the beloved sister of Annamaria (Joseph Perkins) Romano, aunt of Jenifer (Jon) Brelsford, Laura Peck, Charles (Craig) Maillard and Nathaniel Peck and great aunt of Dhalia and Chelsea Brelsford and Malaki, Dominic and Adelina Spencer. She was the beloved niece of her Uncle Frank Romano and Aunt Ann Romano and cousins Tony and Mark Romano and loved by her brother in law Michael (Julee) Lesko and nieces Maddie and Audrey. She was the beloved best friend of Mary (Brown) Twohill for over 40 years and loved by Greg Twohill and their children Michael, Kathryn and Ryan Twohill and the entire Brown family.
Friends may call on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 4PM to 6PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. A prayer service will follow at 6PM at the parlor.
