Joel P DeScheen Sr., 61,a long-time Valley resident, died Oct.21 at his home after a long illness.
Mr. DeScheen was an honored Vietnam veteran. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years.
He is the beloved son of the late Raymond H. DeScheen and the late Doris F DeScheen.
He is survived by his brothers, Raymond (Tony) DeScheen of Flordia; twin brother Noel DeScheen of Ansonia; sisters Lorelee Willets of Ansonia ‚Sarah Hosler of Seymour, Edith Czrlusniak of Las Vegas;.three sons, Joel DeScheen Jr of Ansonia,Timothy DeScheen of Ansonia, Jonathon DeScheen Sr. of Shelton; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Joel was predeased by his brother, Joseph DeScheen, and sister, Artemisia Shamansky.
Services will be held Nov. 4 2010 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Water Street Cafe on 8 Water St. in Ansonia.
