Joelle Lillis-White, age 81, entered eternal rest on June 20, 2025, at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford.
Born in Bridgeport on August 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John V. Lillis and Elois Weatherwax Lillis. Joelle grew up in Bridgeport then resided in Seymour, Ansonia, and Florida. She began her career as a social worker then went on to obtain her Registered Nurse degree and was employed at Bridgeport, St. Raphael’s, and Griffin Hospitals. Joelle spent a lot of time walking and enjoying the outdoors and she loved shopping and hunting for bargains.
During the winters, she spent time relaxing in the warm weather at her home in Florida.
Joelle leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Kristin Galla of Boston, MA, and Brenin White (Kalia Brooks) of Norwalk, brother, Kevin Lillis of Wallingford, sister, Elise Sullivan (Gene) of Shelton, grandchildren, Miles White and Giovanni Brooks, nieces and nephews, Kellie Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Seth Lillis and Heather Lillis and former husbands, Robert J. Galla of Boston, MA and Edward G. White of Chicago, IL.
She was predeceased by a brother, Brian Lillis.Per Joelle’s request, her funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
