Johanna “Jennie” Maciag, 100, has entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Jennie was born in Ansonia on Oct. 4, 1921, daughter of the late Kazmer and Karolina Yolinski. Jennie was a Derby resident for most of her life where she and her beloved husband, the late Raymond Arnold Maciag, raised three children and worked in the business office at Griffin Hospital for many years before her retirement.
Jennie is survived by her loving daughter, Johanna Maciag of Milford; loving son, Richard Maciag and his wife, Laurie of Gales Ferry; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Maciag and her husband, Terrence McAuliffe and great-grandson, Kellan McAuliffe; Danielle Maciag and her husband, Nathan Melanson; nephew, William Gibson and his wife Mary; and nieces, Lee Heller, Cothy Hafersat and Dru Gibson.
Jennie was predeceased by her loving son Mark Maciag; and her brother Edward Yolinski.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, meeting directly at St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St., Derby, entombment will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery.
