John B. Hoerres, age 85, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday December 10, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Marilyn J. (Mindrup) Hoerres.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 22, 1933 the son of the late John C. and Marie (Lamars) Hoerres. He was an Advertising Manager for the JC Penney Catalog for 30 years before his retirement in 1993.
John was the beloved father of Peg Shimer and her husband Robert, Wanda Hoerres and her significant other Mark Ray, loving grandfather to Meredith Shimer, and dear brother to Marjorie Kalkoske.
He was predeceased by his sister Mary Ann Halvorson.
Friends are invited to attend John’s memorial service on Saturday December 15 at 2 pm directly at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 160 Hill Farm Road, Fairfield CT 06824.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care, 2800 Main St. Bridgeport CT 06606.
