John F. Dillon, age 88, husband of the late Ruth Riordan Dillon and resident of Seymour, entered into eternal rest April 5.
He was born May 16, 1928 in Derby, son of the late Charles and Margaret McNamara Dillon.
John graduated from Derby High School and Holy Cross College before serving in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as Superintendent for Anaconda American Brass Co. in both Waterbury and Ansonia until retirement. He served on the Board of Griffin Hospital in Derby and in The Chamber of Commerce, where he received their Gold Seal Award.
He leaves two sons, Patrick Dillon of Derby, Timothy Dillon of Seymour, with whom he resided, and two grandchildren, Ryan Dillon of Rhode Island and Tyler Dillon of Seymour.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at St. Mary’s Church in Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum.
