John F. Beaton, age 80 of Seymour, passed away peacefully at home on June 18th, 2025.
John, also known as Jack, son of the late George and Marguerite Beaton was born on June 18th, 1945. Jack worked for many years at The Bridgeport Brass Co. and found true pride in his work. An avid sports fan, he played softball on many teams and even sponsored his own team, the “Jacks,” with his close-knit group of friends. He loved to watch the Red Sox and the Giants. He was also a proud fan of the UCONN women’s basketball program.
Jack enjoyed the simple things in life. Taking care of his yard and watching the animals that traveled through. He took care of his mother for many years and found the most joy when with his family.
Jack is survived by his loving sister MaryJane Snodgrass, as well as three generations of nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of good work, great friends and a powerful, unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, from 9 — 10 am. The service will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W.
