John M. Sharpe, Sr. age 75, beloved husband of 55 years to Judith (Scianna) Sharpe of Milford entered into eternal rest on Aug. 30, 2017.
He was born on July 6, 1942 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Asher and Margaret (Whalen) Sharpe. John was the former owner of Milford Collision and was currently working as a painter for the past 18 years at Sikorsky Aircraft. He loved going to baseball games and sports activities with his grand kids and spending time with his family. John enjoyed his trips to the casino and was an avid NY Mets fan.
In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves his children, Karen Sharpe Paquette (Kevin White), Craig Daniel Sharpe (Francisco) and daughter in law, Dawn Tyler Sharpe all of Derby. He was lovingly called “Bampy” by his seven grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, Samantha, Eddie, Evan, Scianna and Tabatha.
He also leaves his brother, Robert Sharpe of Newtown and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving son, John M. Sharpe, Jr. and his brother and sisters, Ralph Sharpe, Loretta Sharpe and Dorothy Smith.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Sept 6th at 9:30 a.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Gabriel Church, Milford.
