John Michael Matthew Krueger, 49, of Ansonia, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on November 2, 2014, at Griffin Hospital.
John was born in Milford on December 27, 1964, beloved son of CT State Marshall and former Mayor of Ansonia, Richard D. Krueger of Woodbridge and Lorraine Zalenski Krueger of Ansonia. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he attended Mystic Oral School for the Deaf, graduated from Ansonia High School and earned his drafting design degree from Porter & Chester Institute. John was employed in the engineering department at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia and an avid bowler having participated in many leagues.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a brother, Richard M. Krueger and his wife Rima of Oxford, a sister, Jan Gunther and her husband Bernard of Lexington, MA, niece and nephews, Lauren Krueger of Woodbridge, Richard E. Krueger of Ansonia and Maximilian and Zachary Gunter of MA, grandniece, Amerie Santos of Woodbridge and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2014, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, his funeral will be held at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Derby.
