John W. Anderson, age 91 of Ansonia, formerly of Seymour entered into peaceful rest November 18, 2009 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Coughlin) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was born July 18, 1918 in Branford, son of the late Sigurd and Maria (Carlson) Anderson.
John was a retired truck driver with the former Davis Storage Company in New Haven.
He leaves his loving family including three daughters, Marie Strode and her husband Don of Seymour, Margaret Anderson and her husband Alan Charest of Seymour, and Karen Gavin of Ansonia, two step-daughters, Patricia DeMayo of Auburn, ME, and Mary Foster of Plymouth, thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his siblings, Esther, Edith, Violet, Elmer, and Leonard Anderson, and Elsie Saville.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. in Saint Augustine Cemetery, Cedar Street, Seymour.
