John W. Tyson

John W. Tyson, husband of 63 years to Ruth (Gumbulevich) Tyson and resident of Ansonia died April 5. 

He was born March 19, 1930, son of the late William and Elizabeth Tyson. 

He was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft with 39 years of service in production control. John was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Ansonia. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. 

In addition to Ruth he is survived by his son Robert J. Tyson (Evelyn) of Fl., grandson John R. Tyson of Idaho, special niece Janice Bielawa and several other nieces & nephews. 

Friends may call on Monday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) The funeral will then leave for church, with a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Fr. Salemi Dr, Ansonia, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Holy Rosary Church Choir.
