Jose R. Tito Quizhpi

Jose R. Tito Quizhpi, age 59, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, May 21, 2020, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Ines Alarcon Cevallos.

Jose was born in Deleg, Ecuador on March 27, 1961, son of the late Manuel Jesus Tito and Maria Alegria Quizhpi. He moved from Ecuador to Queens, NY where he lived for fifteen years and settled in Ansonia twenty years ago.

Jose was a man with a great work ethic who could fix just about anything. He was an entrepreneur that bought homes that were in disrepair and enjoyed fixing them for resale.

He also was a tremendous cook and baker and the proud owner of Gourmet Express Enterprises Inc. with two locations in Shelton. He instilled the value of hard work in his family and was happiest when surrounded by them.

In addition to his wife Ines, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Joseph Tito of Ansonia, daughters, Patricia Tito, Fanny Alarcon, Tiffany Tito, Elizabeth Tito, Talia Tito and Jiselyn Tito of Ansonia and Sikna Tito of Seymour, ten grandchildren and several brothers and sisters in both Ecuador and New York.

Sadly, per the health pandemic, all services will be private with interment in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements. To sign Jose’s guestbook or share a memory, please visit www.spinelliricciutifh.com.
