Joseph Antoine Bousquet II, formerly of Oxford died on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with his wife, Rosemary and Hospice nurses and doctors with him. Born on January 26 ‚1944 in Attleboro, Ma.
Joe was the son of the late Joseph Anthony Bousquet and Toini E. (Rindel) Bousquet. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife Rosemary A. (Fragione) Bousquet of 33 years of New Smyrna Beach, Fl. Four sons, Joseph A. Bousquet III of Bethel Park, Pa., John M. Bousquet (deceased), David P. Bousquet of Bridgeport (Black Rock section), Ct. and Christopher M. Bousquet of Lyndhurst, NJ., his sister Dee Farnam of Mansfield, Ma. and half-brother, Eugene Bousquet of Winter Garden, Fl. His grandchildren Aleah and Jordan Bousquet of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Joshua J. Bousquet (due August 9,2014), Lukas Falcone of Bridgeport, CT., Rileigh and Skylar Bousquet of Dumont, NJ. His In Laws, Grace (DeBellis) and Frank Virelli of New Smyrna Beach, Fl.,brother in law Carmine Fragione of New Smyrna Beach,Fl.,brother and sister in law Albert and Donna Fragione of Naples,Fl. Nephews James (and wife, Victoria) Farnam, Patrick Farnam and Albert V. Fragione III. Relatives Cinto Family, Maulucci Family, Fragione Family and two great- nieces. Family friends the Morgatto family, Marin family, Lombardo family and Popowski family. Joe also leaves behind his beloved German shepard, Katie.
Joe loved growing up in Chartley, Ma. He attended and graduated from Norton High School (Class of 1961).He was inducted into the National Honor Society, he was captain of the basketball and baseball teams. The Lancers 25 – 0 record for the 1959 – 60 season brought Joe and his team onto the floor of Boston Garden to play in the Tech “D” Tourney that year. Joe attended Boston College and received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors. He was employed by Benrus Corp., Heublein Corp., R.J. Reynolds and Cadbury Schweppes as a director of credit collection & finance. He retired in 1999 and moved to Florida with his wife, Rosemary. He resided in Oxford, CT. for over 20 years raising his family there and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford, Ct. He was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan.
A Memorial Mass in Celebration of Joseph’s ‘s Life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 am (Directly) at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd. Oxford CT. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Northwest Cemetery, Woodbridge.
