Joseph Davidowski, age 72, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Agnes Marra Davidowski.
Joseph was born in Minooka, PA on August 17, 1942, son of the late Frank and Sophie Nowak Davidowski, and he lived in Bridgeport for many years before moving to Shelton in 1985.
He was a retired machinist at Remington Arms, and later owned and operated J&S Delivery and Courier Service in Shelton for many years. Joseph also worked for Orange Research.
He is the beloved father of Lisa Auddino and her husband Michael, Andrea Tobin and her husband Brad, and Rhonda Davidowski. He also leaves five cherished grandchildren, Maclaren, Cassidy, and Jared Tobin and Cameron and Kendyl Auddino, four siblings, Eleanor Linane, Dorothy Pivarnik, Frank Davidowski, and Maryann Norko, his loving companion Linda Duley, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM. On Wednesday his procession will leave the funeral home at 10 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church in Shelton. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton in the spring.
