Joseph DeCiucis, age 63, of Stratford, formerly of Ansonia, beloved husband of Noreen Grindrod DeCiucis, passed away on May 22, 2023, in Griffin Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born on Sept. 9, 1959, in Bridgeport, to the late Victor and Vita DelFranco DeCiucis. He was a drywall taper by trade. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley and watching the NY Giants, but his absolute favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family, whom he was fiercely devoted to.
In addition to his wife of 33 years, he leaves behind his children, Jaime DeCiucis (Carlos Cintron), Krista DeCiucis (fiance Brian Lagasse) Kianna DeCiucis, Joseph V. DeCiucis and Gianni DeCiucis. His grandchildren, who were the love of his life, Vincenzo and Mila Lagasse. Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Jolene DeCiucis.
His siblings, Roseanna Logan (Jerry), Victoria Rosvall (David), and Victor DeCiucis Jr (Kristine). Ex-wife Gina Paoletti Messier; and best friends David “Pop” Popowchak and Tom Finnucan.
The family would like to thank all of Griffin Hospital’s staff, especially Dr. Chaisson, Dr. Najarian, and the staff at the Griffin Wellness Center.
Burial will be private.
