Joseph F. “Joey” Chatcavage, III, age 44, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1971, the beloved son of Joseph and Gail Chatcavage.
Joey was a graduate of Seymour High School and a lifelong Seymour resident.
He was an avid dirt bike rider and a fan of the New England Patriots.
Joey loved to hunt and fish with his Dad and spend time at Camp Oregon, the family cabin in South Newsane, VT.
He always had a smile on his face but the thing that brought him the most joy was spending time with his family and many friends, especially his nephew Ryan and his niece Ashley. Joey will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
His family, in addition to his parents includes his beloved sister Denyse Chatcavage, his caring grandmother Wanda Katiewicz Chatcavage, his beloved nephew and Godson Ryan, his beloved niece and Goddaughter Ashley, his cherished great niece and nephew Taylor and Lucas and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joey was predeceased by his brother Todd Chatcavage and his two uncles Dennis Chatcavage and David Chatcavage.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Joey’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:30 pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour.
Interment will be held in the Spring in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:30 am until the beginning of the service at 12:30 pm.
