Joseph J.V. Evans, age 28, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on August 18, 2020. He was the beloved fiancé of Emily Carter of Ansonia.
Joseph was born in Derby on April 4, 1992, loving son of Arthur D. Evans (Barbara Cowin) of Ansonia. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he was employed as a Pest Control Technician for Modern Pest Services in Middletown. Joe was a true family man who loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed skateboarding.
In addition to his fiancé Emily and father, Arthur, he is survived by his two sons, Oliver D. Evans (age 2) and Miles A. Evans (age 1), a daughter, Lucy J. Evans (age 4) of Ansonia and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his fourth child, a daughter. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Shirley Ruth Evans of Ansonia, brothers, Adam Wood of Middletown, Mathew Evans of FL and Kyle Evans of Ansonia, sisters, Taylor Madore and Melissa Evans of Ansonia, Candace Evans of FL and Alana John of MO as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday August 24, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to be used toward the future educational expenses of Joe’s children.
