Joseph M. Gaudio, 69, of Derby, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Aug. 31 in his home.
Mr. Gaudio was born in Derby on Feb. 26, 1940 son of the late Lindo and Frances Monaco Gaudio.
He was employed as a police officer for the City of Ansonia from 1969 until 1992 and was currently employed as a security officer for Yale University in New Haven. Joe was a former member of the Fountain Hose Company in Ansonia.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony L. Gaudio and Brian J. Gaudio and his wife Heidi all of Ansonia, a brother Peter Gaudio of Shelton, former wife and longtime friend Katherine Boken Gaudio of Ansonia, former mother-in-law Stella Boken of Ansonia, several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved canine friend Harley.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday Sept. 3, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
Visiting hours will also be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the service begins.
