Joseph P. Nicotra, 82, of Ansonia, loving husband of the late Margaret DiSalva Nicotra, entered into rest on May 25, 2011, in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Nicotra was born in Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 29, 1928, son of the late John and Maria LaBarbara Nicotra.
A resident of Ansonia for many years, he was a dedicated employee of the City of Ansonia Public Works Department until his retirement in 1993.
Prior, he was employed at Schick Razor in Milford.
He is survived by a brother, John Nicotra Jr. of FL, a devoted nephew, Michael Dell’Era and his wife Dora of Ansonia, great nephews, Lukas Cruz-Dell’Era, Vito Santino-Dell’Era, and Michael Dell’Era Jr. of Ansonia. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Dell’Era.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday May 28, 2011 from 3 – 5 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
At 5:00 pm a service and celebration of Joe’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating.
Inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Charles Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
