Joseph P. Pivarnick, age 61, of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday Feb.20, 2012 in Griffin Hospital.
He was born in Bridgeport on Nov. 27, 1950 son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Jan) Pivarnick, and was a resident of Stratford until moving to Shelton 10 years ago.
Joe graduated from Bunnell High School and received his Barber Certification from Bullard Haven Technical School. He was a Barber for over 30 year and a longtime co-owner of the Head Company in Shelton. In his down time, Joe was an avid salt water fisherman.
He is survived by his beloved son Josh Pivarnick„ his son’s mother, Marianne (Martin) Pivarnick, and one brother Paul Pivarnick,
Friend may call on Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Jack Whritenour of Trinity Lutheran Church, Officiating His Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Thomas Sawyer II Scholarship Fund to benefit students at Shelton High School, through the funeral home.
