Joseph T. Crasilli

Joseph T. Crasilli, 70, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on November 1, 2013, at Bridgeport Hospital.

Mr. Crasilli was born in Derby on August 3, 1943, beloved son of Josephine Marganski Crasilli of Ansonia and the late Thomas Crasilli.

A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a manager at the former Pop Fasteners in Shelton for over thirty years until his retirement. Joe was an avid fan of all sports, especially horse racing, and his favorite teams were the NY Giants and NY Mets.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a loving sister, Virginia M. Torres and her husband Neftali of Ansonia, a nephew, Michael Torres and his wife Dorothy of Oxford, a niece, Kathleen Weitzler and her husband Anthony of Ansonia, great nieces and nephews, Allison Torres, Tyler Torres, Anthony J. Weitzler, Jacob Weitzler and Alexia Weitzler and several friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2013, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday at 8:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will take place in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church through the funeral home.
