Joseph Thomas Davidson

Joseph Thomas Davidson, a 56-year-old resident of Clifford, Pennsylvania and former Ansonia, CT resident, entered into the light of The Lord on the morning of Saturday, August 31st after a long battle with cancer.

Joseph shared his residence between Clifford, PA and Baltimore MD. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.

He was born Sept. 13, 1956 in New Haven, CT the son of the late Thomas Joseph Davidson and Jean McEnerney Davidson of Derby. He worked as the Northeast Regional Project Manager for Cianbro Construction Co. He was a member and former past Captain of Webster Hose Fire Co., a former Alderman of Ansonia’s 2nd Ward, a member of The Ancient Order of the Hibernians & The Elks Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children Matthew and Casey Davidson, both of Branford, former wife Cheryl O’Connor of Branford, his companion Robin Mizerak of Ellicott City, Maryland, his brother Thomas Davidson (Tabitha) of San Rafael, California, sisters Cheryl Davidson, Maura Merritt & Kathleen Hamilton (Simpson) all of Seymour, Ellen Saxton (Kenneth) of Clinton & Beth Grant (Michael) of New Haven, and several nieces & nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday Sept. 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. (http://www.jenkinskingfh.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
