Joseph V. Deptula, III, age 51, of Beacon Falls, entered into rest on Saturday June 28, 2014 in his home with his loving family by his side.
He was the devoted husband of 27 years to Sandra Mastrianni Deptula.
He was born in Derby on May 27, 1963 son of the late Joseph V. Deptula, Jr. and Irene Garbien Deptula and was resident of Oxford before moving to Beacon Falls 9 years ago.
Joe was a Graduate of Derby High School class of 1981 and was a standout football player and Captain of the 1980 Team. He loved to Fish, Boat and Hunt. He was a long time Football Coach for Seymour Pop Warner and Seymour High School.
He was very devoted to his family and his children.
He is the loving father of Joseph V. Deptula, IV and Benjamin Deptula, brother of Gloria Ishman and Debbie Vigue. He is also survived by his loving dog Rudy and several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He will be missed by many close friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. On Thursday friends are invited to go directly to St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
In Joe’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph V. Deptula, III Scholarship Fund to benefit a graduating senior from the Seymour High School Football Program.
