Josephine Frances Auger, age 92, of North Haven entered into rest on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Village Green of Wallingford with her loving family by her side.
She was the devoted wife of the late Gaston Ronald “Gus” Auger.
Mrs. Auger was born in Derby, on April 2, 1923, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Pyrek) Terlaga and was a Shelton resident before moving to North Haven in 2011.
She was a Floor Supervisor at Frigitronics of CT, Inc. in Shelton before her retirement. Mrs. Auger was a member of the Shelton Senior Center and enjoyed playing Scrabble and beating all of her competition. She also enjoyed baking, reading, gardening and crafts.
Mrs. Auger is the beloved mother of Jacqueline Tokarczyk and her husband Thomas, Judith Tatta and her husband Pasquale and Ronald Auger and his wife Laura, and sister of Stanley Terlaga.
She is the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Auger was predeceased by a brother, Leo Terlaga, and three sisters, Anna Oliwa, Genevieve Offchiss-Owcarz, and Julie Matyasovsky. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 to10:00 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Friday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Shelton. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
