Josephine M. Crasilli, 97, entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2016, at Shelton Lakes/Apple Rehab in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Crasilli.
Mrs. Crasilli was born in Derby on March 18, 1919, daughter of the late Bruno and Anna Markiewicz Marganski. She was a resident of Shelton before moving to her daughter’s home in Ansonia in 2010. Josephine enjoyed crocheting, especially afghans.
She is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Virginia M. Torres and her husband Neftali of Ansonia, a sister, Bertha Walters of AZ, a grandson, Michael Torres and his wife Dorothy of Oxford, a granddaughter, Kathleen Weitzler and her husband Anthony of Ansonia, great-grandchildren, Allison and Tyler Torres and A.J., Jacob and Alexia Weitzler as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph T. Crasilli, brothers, Edward and Joseph Marganski and sisters, Angela Bortz, Julia Dziuba and Agatha Brennan.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday Oct. 4, 2016, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, her funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
