Josephine Mauri, age 91, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday October 17, 2013 in the Gardner Heights Convalescent Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Aniello (Lou) Mauri.
Mrs. Mauri was born in Ansonia May 28, 1922, daughter of the late Antonio and Severina (Senora) Gagliardi, and has been a longtime Shelton resident. She was employed at the former Derby Nursing Center for several years in the housekeeping department.
Mrs. Mauri is the beloved mother of Louis Mauri, Joseph Mauri, Samuel Mauri, and Barbara Napychank. She also leaves eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may greet her family on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Monday friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery, 286 River Road, Shelton.
