Josephine Sorrenti Volto, age 88, wife of the late John J. Volto and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest August 13.
She was born Oct. 14, 1923 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Dominic & Julia Sorrenti.
Josephine was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia, and was a member of the West Haven Italian American Association and the Ansonia and Derby Senior Centers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son John J. Volto of Seymour, her daughters Geraldine Reinhart of Littleton, CO & Theresa Robison of Oxford, her brother Anthony Sorrenti of Oakville, CT, 4 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Sorrenti & Anso Segatori and two sisters, Carmella Porcu & Edith Vicidomino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, with friends asked to go directly to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
