Josephine V. Pietrangelo, 75, of Ansonia, beloved wife of Pasquale M. Pietrangelo, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday October 5, 2010, at the Griffin Hospital in Derby.
Mrs. Pietrangelo was born in Shelton on June 9, 1935, daughter of the late John and Mary Izzo Arbona.
A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was employed as a legal secretary for Attorney Gary I. Cohen in Seymour and later as a secretary at Sikorsky Aircraft in Shelton for 15 years until her retirement. Josephine was a former Girl Scout Leader in Ansonia and a former Sunday School teacher at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
She enjoyed crocheting, visiting the casinos, and especially spending time with her loving family.
In addition to her husband Pat, she is survived by two daughters, Mary-Jo Lucke and her husband Paul of Ansonia and Patricia Ryan and her husband Gerald of Odessa, FL, two sisters, Isabelle Spaziani of Mystic and Frances Roes of Baltimore, MD, three grandchildren, David Piccolo of Orlando, FL, and Patricia Crisante and Kory Cook of Ansonia, five great granddaughters, Gianna Crisante, Jayda Sanchez, Hailey Cook, Josephine Sanchez, and Isabella Piccolo, her mother in law, Carmella Pietrangelo of Ansonia, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday October 9, 2010, at 8:15am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FH.
