ANSONIA: Joyce A. (Eheman) Dainiak, age 87 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Michael Dainiak, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Bridgeport Hospital with family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on January 17, 1938, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Doris M. (Brouso) Eheman.
A retired employee of General Electric, Joyce was a longtime resident of Ansonia. She had a deep faith and was a devoted parishioner of Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour, where she aided in the Blessing Pantry, was a member of the Alter Guild, and Prayer Chain. She enjoyed bird watching, crocheting and doing arts and crafts, especially with children.
Survivors include her loving children, Michael Dainiak and his wife Cheryl, and Marie and her husband Steven; 7 cherished grandchildren, Jason, Brittany, Brianna, Nikita, April, Tyson and Garrett, as well as her honorary grandchild, Christopher; 2 adored great grandchildren, Kinley and Conner, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by her son, Richard John Dainiak, as well as her 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Memorial Service of Requiem Eucharist will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11am DIRECTLY in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
