Joyce E. Allard, 77, of Oxford, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nelson G. Clark.
Mrs. Allard was born in Oxford on January 2, 1936, daughter of the late Frank and Olive Mix Turner. A resident of Oxford for most of her life, she was employed at Emerson Electric in Danbury for many years until her retirement. Joyce was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour and enjoyed watching QVC.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond E. Clark of Hartford and Bruce A. Clark Sr. of Oxford, four grandchildren, Bruce A. Clark Jr. and Scott T. Clark of Naugatuck, Crystal Stauffer of MO and Jeremy Powell of FL, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, especially nephew Melvin E. Turner Jr. of Oxford. She was predeceased by a brother, Melvin E. Turner Sr. and several other brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 19, 2013, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 6:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Joyce’s life will take place. Her burial will be private.
