Judith Ann (Gale, Andrews) Gustafson

Judith Ann (Gale, Andrews) Gustafson, age 71, of Ansonia was welcomed home by her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She entered into rest at Lord Chamberlain nursing home with her loving family by her side. She was comfortable and at peace at the time of her passing.

Judy was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Gustafson who she loved dearly. She was born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1954, daughter of the late Burton Allen and Ruth (Corfey) Gale. She had a gracious and generous spirit which took joy in doing for others.

Judy enjoyed sewing, especially making children’s clothing, baby blankets, newborn and doll clothing, as well as custom handbags. She was extremely talented and creative. Whenever she found out that someone she knew was expecting or just had a baby she would immediately get to work making them clothes or a blanket for their newborn.

She also loved cooking and baking. Judy loved feeding people and making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. Everyone who knew her will acknowledge that she had a difficult and challenging life that was plagued with many medical problems as well as much heartache, however, she kept a positive and optimistic attitude through all of it. Judy is a true inspiration to all of us. One could truly see the fruits of the Spirit alive in her.

She brought a tremendous amount of love and joy to all the people she met and knew in this life. Judy’s abundant love was reciprocated by many people who love her dearly. She will be missed tremendously by all who know and love her.

Judy was the beloved mother of Chad Andrews (Lindsay Ronshagen), Melissa Woods (Chuck) and the late Matthew Andrews, loving grandmother of Nathaniel, Dakota and Colton Woods and Sierra and Lilly Fargnoli and sister of William Bill” Gale (Dianne) and Elizabeth Kremmel (late William). She was also survived by an abundance of dearly loved extended family and friends.

Her memorial services will be held at Holy Ghost Park in Shelton, CT on June 29th at 2pm. All are welcome to attend. Please contact Melissa or Chad for more information.
