Judith “Cookie” Koproski, daughter of Patrick and Rosabelle Cook, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, 3/31/22 surrounded by her family.
Judy was born in Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT, Feb. 27, 1935. Blessed with “the gift of gab,” she had a magnetic personality. After graduating from Ansonia High, she met the love of her life, Teddy, and they went onto have four children together.
Judy was a long-time employee of Pratt & Whitney before retiring and volunteering at local schools. She was the pillar that centered her family and friends. She was an animal advocate, devout Catholic, and a kind and loving person.
She is survived by several brothers and a sister: Edward and Ann Marie Cook of Middletown; Robert Cook of Enfield; Francis and Caroline Cook of Somers; Ronald Cook of Stafford Springs; and Maureen Ryan of North Haven. She is also survived by her children and their spouses: Theodore and Gail Koproski of Wallingford; Edward and Janet Koproski of Orange; Christopher and Anna Koproski of Old Lyme; and Maureen and Tommy Koproski of Milford. Along with 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a plentitude of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 10:30 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave., Seymour; for an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church of St. Nicholas Parish with Rev. Thomas Cieslikowski officiating. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Friends are invited to greet the family on Wed. from 5 – 8pm and Thursday from 9am until Mass time.
