Julia Hayes, age 93, wife of the late Walter Hayes and resident of Ansonia, passed away March 17.
She was born August 8, 1920 in Darlington, S.C., daughter of the late Edward & Hattie Edwards Wright.
She worked for B.F. Goodrich and was a member of The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Gail & Nancy Hayes, both of Ansonia, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Veronica Wilson and Pearlena Jeffrey, and 10 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. Friends may call at church 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
