Juliana Mazza, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, has gained her wings unexpectedly at 20 years old on October 29, 2021.
Born in Bridgeport, CT in November 2000 to Chris and Adriana Mazza, Juliana grew up on the river in Shelton CT with her younger siblings, Diana and Christian.
She attended Elizabeth Shelton Elementary school, Perry Hill Upper Elementary School, Shelton Intermediate and graduated Shelton High School.
She went on to pursue studies at Southern Connecticut State University.
Juliana was a multitalented young woman with a huge heart and passion for life. She had an infectious laugh and smile that created such positive impact on everyone she encountered.
She was super funny, loved to travel and adventurous. She jumped off the Stratosphere building in Las Vegas and went sky diving in London. She loved being with her family more than anything.
She adored her father’s cooking and always said his meals were “fire” ! In the summer, you would find her jet skiing and boating on the Housatonic River.
She had a love for music, photography and helping others. Her beautiful soul and ambitious nature led her to accomplish many successes in her short life.
She was a certified lifeguard, a competitive swimmer, a black belt in karate and an eager volunteer in the community. In fact, she was the Shelton Youth Service Bureau Award recipient in which her picture proudly displays at Shelton City Hall.
She was a very successful rising star as a first year licensed insurance agent at Bankers Life.
She had great work ethic which led her to be the most productive agent in their first year in the Milford branch.
She was wise and successful beyond her years and it was evidenced by all of her accomplishments.
Juliana’s desire to help others will live on through her organ donations. When you think of Juliana, think about all the great memories you have with her. Juliana was a diamond in the rough and will forever shine in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Juliana’s zest for life, learning and helping others by contributing to memorial scholarship fund set up in her name.
On Thursday, November 4th, friends may greet Juliana’s family from 3 to 6 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her service will follow at 6 PM at the parlor. Family and friends are required to wear masks. Friends may leave condolences at http://www.riverviewfh.com.
