Julianne M. Lindsay, age 84, of Shelton peacefully entered into rest after ar long illness on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital with he loving family by her side.
She was the devoted wife of 66 years to Charles “Bill” Lindsay. Julianne was born in Danbury on October 20, 1934 daughter of the late Arthur and Irene (Baker) Martinez. She was raised in Bridgeport. In 1964, Julianne and Bill moved to Huntington where they built their home.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting.
Julianne was well read in archaeology and had a special interest in Egyptology. She and her husband loved to travel the world. Some of their fondest memories where their trips to Egypt and the Holy Land. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Julianne is the beloved mother of Holly (Jeff) Turner and Tara (Lou) Laddis, sister of, Rosanne (Raymond) Richard and sister-in-law of John (Maria) Lindsay. She is the loving grandmother of Katie (Billy) Ryan, great grandmother of Patrick Ryan and aunt of Christie, Jack and James (Emma).
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton.
Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church. Her burial will be in Lawn Cemetery.
