Justine “Sue” Antinozzi, age 94, an Oxford resident since 1975, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2021, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur M. Antinozzi Sr., proprietor of the former Daisy Hill Gardens Florist in Derby.
Mrs. Antinozzi was born in New Haven on September 11, 1926, daughter of the late Harold and Bertha Dembiczak Fenwick. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her late husband were members of the Good Sam RV Club where they enjoyed traveling the majority of the country. Justine also enjoyed cooking, playing Bingo, reading and crossword puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Arthur M. Antinozzi Jr. (Jean) of Seymour, loving daughters, Susan Ledellaytner of Oxford and Linda Ogle of Spring Hill, FL, grandchildren, Greg Lastauskas, Brett Baczek (Tabitha), Alena Roberts (Jeffrey) and Emily Kielt (Michael), great-grandchildren, Alyssa Lastauskas, Matilda and Thomas Roberts, Rhoan Baczek and Harper, Sutton and Tanner Kielt as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, John Ogle, grandson, Mark A. Lastauskas, brother, Harold Fenwick and sisters, Rita Sullivan, Elsie Jacobs and Mary Gambardella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday January 26, 2021, at 11:00 am (please meet directly) at St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth Street in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial. Masks are required and please social distance. Interment in the family plot will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. Due to the pandemic, there will be no public visiting hours.
