Karen Ann (George) Cairella, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Griffin Hospital surrounded by her cherished family. Born in Bridgeport on October 8, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John and Jean (Buckley) George.
Known for her infectious laughter, sense of humor, and unwavering support, Karen was a great strength and comfort for her family, always ready with a comforting hug, a wise piece of advice, and a listening ear. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with joy and laughter. Karen was always present in their lives and would never miss an activity or sports event they participated in.
Karen is survived by her cherished children, Andrew Cairella and his wife Heather of Shelton, and Michelle Bambery and her husband Brad of Seymour; 3 adored grandchildren, Andrew, Olivia and Owen; her sister, Donna Ivanoff and her husband Alex of FL, as well as her previous husband and dear friend, Andrew Cairella. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her sister, Gail Criscuolo.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483.
