Karlyn L. Grover, 51, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Charlene D’Alessio Grover.
Karlyn was born in Sacramento, CA on November 17, 1960, son of Eleanor Baartman Grover of Iowa and the late LeRoy Grover. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A 1992 graduate of Porter & Chester Institute, he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at the Bodine Corporation in Bridgeport for several years. Karlyn was an avid fisherman and vegetable gardener.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a loving son, Matthew L. Grover of Ansonia, a loving daughter, Carly J. Grover of Ansonia, a brother, Galen Grover of Iowa, two sisters, Lawana Hollander and Trisha Heran of Wisconsin, father in law, Carl J. D’Alessio of Ansonia, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother in law, Ann D’Alessio.
Visiting hours for Karlyn will be held on Saturday January 21, 2012, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
