Katherine Gambacini, age 94, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at CT Hospice in Branford.
She was the devoted wife of the late Nelson Gambacini. Katherine was born in Waterbury on September 7, 1930 daughter of the late Michael and Nora (O’Sullivan) McNamara and was a Shelton resident for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Ansonia High School. Katherine worked in sales at Pop Fasteners for many years until her retirement. Katherine was a former member of the Shelton Senior Center.
She was the beloved aunt of Craig Gambacini and his wife Robin and Alcyne Lyons and her late husband Michael and cousin of Raymond Wagner. She was also predeceased by her stepmother Katherine (Mahan) McNamara.
On Wednesday, friends may call from 10:00 — 11:30 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Margaret Mary Church. Her entombment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum.
