On Sunday June 2, 2013 Kathleen Lainey, age 65, of Shelton one of God’s greatest servants, went home to her Lord and Savior.
My dear mom entered heaven with a shout of victory and joy on her lips. These were her words from a few short weeks ago in a prayer to the Lord. She was a born again Christian, who although being blind and severely deaf reached people through preaching the love of Christ.
Mrs. Lainey was born in Bridgeport July 10, 1947 daughter of the late Frank and Angie Baldissero, and was a Shelton resident for over 35 years.
She is the devoted wife of 49 years to Gary Lainey, Sr. , the beloved mother of Gary Lainey, Jr. and his wife Karen, and the loving grandmother of Joshua. She is predeceased by her brother Anthony Baldissero.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Riverside Cemetery 286 River Road Shelton, with her pastor Don Evans officiating.
