Ken Barr, age 66, passed away peacefully at Griffin Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2023, with family by his side, son of Irene Obremski Barr and the late John Barr.
Ken worked in HVAC as a technician for many years until he went on his own, Ken’s Heating and Air Conditioning.
Born October 26, 1957, he lived all his life in the valley. He was involved with AA for 40 years, where he helped many others that were struggling and where he met his closest friends at Early Risers, like John Sr, John Jr, Paul, Charlie, Junior, and Nick.
Ken graduated from Shelton High School, attended Connecticut School of Electronics, Bullard Havens, and various AC/Heating academies, attaining many certifications in each one.
Ken loved to Motocross race and won trophies and medals as #57.
Survived by Mom, Irene Barr, two sisters, Patti Barr and Sandi Hotchkiss (Jimmy), nieces Mandy and Taylor and nephews Jesse and Joshua. Ken loved his family deeply and made sure he reminded them every time they were together or talked on the phone.
Services were private at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Derby. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton.
