Kenneth E. Davies Jr., age 73, husband to Eileen Kilian Davies and resident of Oxford, passed away March 3.
He was born Sept. 2, 1940 in Derby, son of the late Kenneth & June Buswell Davies Sr.
Kenneth graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1958.
He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and worked as a truck driver for U.P.S. for 35 years driving tandems, and was a member of the Ansonia Rod & Gun Club and Buick Club.
He was a former member of The First Baptist Church in Ansonia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Davies & wife Lori of Cave Creek, Arizona & Kevin Davies & wife Heather of St. Petersburg FL., daughter Laura Blood & husband Ken of Oxford, brother Arthur Davies of West Haven, CT and 4 grandchildren and 1 niece & 3 nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, (TODAY) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
