Kenneth F. Silva, age 89, husband of the late Dorothy Moore Silva and long-time Ansonia resident, passed away Feb. 8, 2017.
He was born March 16, 1927 in Derby, son of the late Peter Correia Silva & Elsie Barry Silva.
Kenneth worked for CT Dept. of Transportation and was a parishioner of The Church of The Assumption in Ansonia.
He was predeceased by siblings Dorothy Richards, Catherine Andrade, Barbara Roseboro, Joe Silva & Paul Silva. He is survived by daughter Jessica Silva of Washington, D.C., sons Craig Silva of Lebanon, ME. & Kenneth Silva Jr. of Naugatuck, sister Mary Silva of Tuscumbia, AL, 5 grandchildren; Miranda Silva, Craig Silva Jr., Joseph Silva, Emily Silva and Ifasen Kwame; beloved nephew, Keith Roseboro of Bridgeport and a host of other nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 17 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Feb. 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home before the service.
