Kenneth R. Ries, age 51, a resident of Ansonia for twenty-four years, peacefully entered into eternal rest on early Saturday morning, October 16, 2021, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Nancy L. Michaels Ries.
Kenneth was born in Bridgeport on April 26, 1970, cherished son of Ronald Ries (Judith) of Pompano Beach, FL and Peggy Wagner Ries of Ansonia. He was a graduate of Trumbull High School in 1988 and the University of New Haven in 1992. Ken was employed as a manager for Applebee’s Restaurants for many years. He enjoyed growing strawberries, vegetables and flowers in his garden. He also loved sitting outdoors enjoying the sunshine, tending to his fish aquarium and cooking for his family. Nothing was more important to Ken than his beautiful family.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by daughters, Autumn E. Ries and Faith N. Ries of Ansonia, sisters, Laurie Frascatore (Ralph) of Trumbull and Susan DePascale (Thomas) of Milford, a niece, Jenna Falzone (Andrew) of Stratford, nephews, Nicholas and Jonathan DePascale of Milford and Anthony and Joseph Frascatore of Trumbull as well as many friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Masks will be required in the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 10:00 am (meeting directly) at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
