Laura I. Fiallos-Sanchez, age 83, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2023 at Griffin Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1939, in Quito, Ecuador, daughter to the late Victor and Zoila (Sanchez) Fiallos. Laura was a resident of the Valley for 43 years. She spent her career working as a seamstress. Laura was a beloved soccer mom for the Derby Quitus Soccer Team.
Laura is survived by her loving sons, Jorge Fiallos, Vincente Fiallos, Franklin Fiallos, and Juan Carlos Fiallos Sr., beloved grandchildren, Juan Carlos Fiallos Jr., Steven Andrew Fiallos, Anita Fiallos, Ivan Fiallos, Kathy Fiallos, Christina Fiallos, and Julianne Fiallos, and her sister Mariana Fiallos . She was predeceased by her siblings, Zoila Fiallos, Anita Fiallos, Juan Enrique, Julio Fiallos, and Rosa Fiallos.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby. On Saturday, her funeral procession will leave the parlor at 9:30 am for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth Street, Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt.
